Agriculture Manual respects intellectual property. Rights holders can report material they believe infringes copyright, and we act on complete notices.
Filing an infringement notice
To submit a notice under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), send a written communication containing all of the following. Incomplete notices delay review.
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorised to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if one notice covers multiple works.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough information for us to locate it — the exact agriculturemanual.com URL wherever possible.
- Your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- An accuracy and authority statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the owner.
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation may create liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Consider taking legal advice before submitting a notice.
Counter-notifications
If material you supplied was removed or disabled through mistake or misidentification, a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) should include:
Your signature
A physical or electronic signature.
The affected material
What was removed or disabled, and where it appeared before removal.
A sworn statement
Under penalty of perjury, that you believe removal resulted from mistake or misidentification.
Jurisdiction and service
Your name, address and telephone number; consent to the jurisdiction specified by § 512(g)(3); and agreement to accept service of process from the complainant or their agent.

How we handle a claim
- We may remove or restrict access to material while a claim is being reviewed.
- We may share a notice or counter-notification with the person responsible for the material, and with service providers, where reasonably necessary to investigate or respond.
- Repeat infringers are dealt with in accordance with our obligations as a service provider.
